Holly writes: 'A few years ago, I was one of many hundreds of thousands who gathered to protest the U.S. invasion of Iraq. I was invited to sing. Pat and Sandy of emma's revolution stepped up on the platform to join me in song. With their harmonies surrounding me, I could feel the activists move in closer to the unified sense of purpose. Growing up with singing siblings, I had an early practice ground for voices in harmony and the power that comes from singing together. And that has been true in this collaboration. 'I believe some artists come to this world willing to get close to the difficult, are called upon to express the elusive, inspired to evolve our species. Artists often accept the consequences of a broken heart so that we might heal a wounded soul. Some paint, some dance, some write. We came to sing.'
